Biography

Mila Gonzales is a 12 year old dancer from Phoenix, Arizona.
She started her dance training at three years old from Desert West Dance Academy. During her time at Desert West she studied Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Tumbling, Ballroom, Contemporary and Hip Hop. At six years old she auditioned and was selected for the Elite Competition Team. She competed multiple group dances and a duo at local and regional dance competitions. When Mila turned 11 she transferred to The Studance Lab in Avondale, Arizona. Under the direction of Bonita Saldana she has studied multiple styles of hip hop including popping, locking, breaking and house styles. She also trains in the Stage styles of Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Acro, and Musical Theatre. She is also on the Competition Team and competes at regional and National competitions.
A highlight of her 2023-2024 Season was competing at Hip Hop International in Burbank, California and being selected as finalists for two routines. One of those routines placed 5th overall and was selected to Team USA to compete at Worlds. In addition, the same routine won Hollywood Vibe Teen Battle of the Stars at Nationals in San Diego, California in July of 2024. Mila has performed locally at the State Farm Stadium Winter Wonderland Event, with the Arizona Cardinal Cheerleaders in a halftime performance, and is featured in the "Live!" video from the Studance Lab.
